Tesla Coil is a high-voltage resonant transformer that hurls jagged, branching lightning arcs from a glowing electrode. Move the pointer (or tap) and the discharge chases it around the screen; press to unleash a full mega-discharge. It is pure hypnotic electricity — a fictional effect with no real voltage anywhere near your device.
What makes Tesla Coil different
Tesla Coil throws jagged, branching lightning from a glowing electrode — and the main arc chases your cursor around the screen. Unlike the ambient effects, it is interactive and physical-feeling: move to steer the bolt, click or press to unleash a full discharge. Pure hypnotic electricity, with no real voltage anywhere near your device.
What you can do with it
- A mesmerising electric backdrop for streams, visuals and events
- A “mad-science” lightning prop for videos and short films
- An interactive fullscreen toy — steer the arcs with your mouse or finger
How to use Tesla Coil
- Move your mouse or finger over the stage and the main arc follows it; click for a short surge.
- Press Space or key 1 for a full-power DISCHARGE; POLARITY cycles the arc colour, ION STORM sets it arcing continuously, STAND DOWN settles it.
- In Customize, pick the bolt colour, set the intensity, dial the resonant frequency (shown in kHz), and show or hide the coil hardware.
- Press Fullscreen (or add ?present=1) for a mesmerising electric backdrop.
Customize it
Choose the arc colour (violet, cyan, white or emerald), set the bolt intensity, dial the resonant frequency (20–500, shown as kHz), and show or hide the coil hardware.
Is there any real electricity involved?
No. The arcs are a canvas animation. Nothing is energised, and the read-outs (megavolts, frequency) are invented for atmosphere.
How do I control the lightning?
Move your mouse or finger and the main arc follows it. Click, tap or press the discharge key for a bigger burst, and Customize lets you recolour the bolts and dial the intensity.
