GHOSTSCREEN

Movie and HUD screens: control-room displays for film, streams and desks

These are the screens in the background of a film: the map table in the situation room, the wall of monitors at the security desk, the countdown nobody can stop. Each one keeps moving by itself, so it works as set dressing behind an actor or as a display on a second monitor. Every map, orbit, camera feed and timer is drawn by the page. None of it shows real data.

How to use a movie screen

  1. 1Open a screen and let it run. All five move by themselves from the first second.
  2. 2Open Customize and label it for your story: the operation and target on the Tactical Map, the site name on the CCTV wall, the length of the countdown.
  3. 3Press Fullscreen and film the monitor or record the display. While the camera runs, the number keys trigger an alert on cue.

Movie & HUD screens FAQ

Do the screens show real maps, satellites or cameras?

No. Coordinates, callsigns, orbits and camera feeds are generated by the page. GHOSTSCREEN has no access to your camera or your location and loads no live data.

Can I trigger an alert at the right moment?

Yes. Every screen puts its actions on the number keys and lists them under Actions in the toolbar: TARGET ACQUIRED on the Tactical Map, MOTION DETECTED on the CCTV wall, ABORT on the countdown. The keys also work in fullscreen.

How do I record a movie screen?

Press Fullscreen so the toolbar disappears, keep the mouse pointer off the picture and record the display. For a stream, copy the OBS URL from Customize and add it as a browser source.
