Dead Pixel Test & Fake Dead Pixels

Dead Pixels turns any screen into a convincingly defective panel: tiny black dead pixels and bright red, green, blue and white stuck pixels scattered across a solid test field, with an optional dead line, backlight-bleed glow and subtle flicker. Tap anywhere to plant more, or cycle the black/white/red/green/blue/grey test colours. Nothing is actually wrong — every defect is drawn on top of a normal web page.

How to use Dead Pixels

• Tap or click anywhere to plant a new defective pixel at that spot.
• Press the action keys — TEST FIELD cycles the solid colour, SCATTER adds more dead pixels, and DEAD LINE, BACKLIGHT and FLICKER toggle those defects; REPAIR clears everything.
• To use it as a real test, turn the fake defects off in Customize and cycle the solid black/white/red/green/blue/grey fields to spot any genuine dead pixels on your own screen.
• Press Fullscreen (or add ?present=1); leave it on a friend’s monitor as a prank, or use it as a clean test field.

Customize it

Choose the solid test-field colour (black, white, red, green, blue, grey or auto-cycle), set the number of scattered pixels, and toggle the dead/stuck pixels, the dead line, the backlight bleed and the flicker independently.
