The Hacker Terminal is an auto-running "Hollywood" command prompt: it types commands character-by-character, then dumps realistic-looking output — network scans, hex dumps, traceroutes and more. Three shells are built in: a Windows-style CMD, a Kali Linux Bash, and a macOS Zsh, each with their own prompt, chrome and command pool. No typing required — just go full-screen and let it run.
What makes Command Prompt different
The Hacker Terminal runs itself: it types a command character by character, “executes” it, prints realistic-looking output, then moves on — on a loop, with no keyboard needed. That is the opposite of the Hacker Typer, which reacts to your keypresses, and simpler than Nexus Blacksite, which wraps a typer in a whole mission HUD. Reach for this one when you want a believable “busy terminal” that fills the screen while you do nothing.
What you can do with it
- A self-running hacker backdrop for streams, OBS and video b-roll — no typing needed
- A believable "busy terminal" screen prop for films, sketches and set dressing
- A harmless prank — leave it scrolling on a friend's screen
How to use Command Prompt
- Just open it and let it run — it auto-types a command, runs it, dumps scripted output, then starts the next one.
- In Customize, switch the shell between a Windows-style CMD, a Kali-style Bash and a macOS Zsh — each has its own prompt, window chrome and command pool (the SHELL action cycles them live).
- Press SKIP to finish the current command instantly, BURST to dump several at once, or CLEAR to wipe back to the prompt.
- Go Fullscreen (or add ?present=1) for a clean, controls-free backdrop — it makes an easy OBS browser source.
Customize it
Pick the shell (CMD, Bash or Zsh), the font size and the typing speed. Nothing you type is executed — every command and its output is scripted.
Is it executing real commands?
No. Every command and its output are scripted fiction. Nothing is connected, transmitted, or executed — it is a visual effect only.
How is this different from the Hacker Typer?
The Hacker Typer reacts to your keypresses; the Hacker Terminal auto-types and auto-runs on its own. Use the Typer if you want to perform; use the Terminal as a hands-free backdrop.
Can I switch between CMD, Bash and Zsh?
Yes. Open Customize and change the shell, or press the Shell action key to cycle through them. Each has its own prompt, window chrome and command pool.
