The Camera Hack screen looks like a webcam someone has broken into — face-tracking boxes locking onto the person on screen, a sweeping scan line, a blinking REC dot and a face-match meter that climbs to ACCESS GRANTED. With your permission it mirrors your OWN webcam (so a friend sees themselves being “watched”); decline and a simulated figure plays instead. Either way it is a harmless local prank: the video only ever shows in your own browser — nothing is recorded, uploaded, streamed or stored, and none of it is real hacking.
What makes Camera Hack different
Where the Surveillance Grid is a calm wall of many generated camera tiles, the Camera Hack is a single, invasive feed you have “broken into” — one subject, face-tracking reticles and a face-match readout, optionally over your own live webcam. And unlike the FBI Warning, whose webcam box only shows static, here the feed is the whole screen. Pick it for the “I am watching through your camera” moment — a local prank, never real surveillance.

How to use Camera Hack
- Open it and the feed is already live — the face-tracking boxes lock on and the match meter climbs to ACCESS GRANTED on its own.
- Press the action buttons (or number keys) — SCAN re-runs the face scan, CAPTURE grabs a fake frame, MATCH confirms an identity and GLITCH drops the signal for a beat.
- In Customize, set the subject name, camera ID and location, choose how many faces are tracked, and toggle night vision.
- Press Fullscreen (or add ?present=1) for a clean, chrome-free feed. Nothing is filmed — the figure and every tracking box are generated.
Customize it
Set the subject label, camera ID and location text, choose how many faces are tracked (1–5) and switch night vision on or off. The feed is simulated until you click “Enable your camera”, which mirrors your own webcam locally — nothing is recorded or sent.
Does this use my real webcam?
Only if you choose to. It starts on a simulated feed; click “Enable your camera” and your browser asks permission, then your own webcam is mirrored on screen — shown live in your browser only. It is never recorded, uploaded, streamed or stored, and stopping it (or leaving the page) turns the camera off immediately. Decline and the simulated feed simply continues.
Is anyone actually being watched or hacked?
No. Nothing is really hacked and no one but you can see the feed — the video never leaves your device and nothing is recorded or sent. It is a scripted visual prop that imitates the “hacked camera” look for videos and harmless pranks.
